TPA’s membership is comprised of more than 1,500 practicing psychologists and graduate students in the state of Texas. We recognize and appreciate the value that each one of our members contributes to our association.

TPA is dedicated to working on your behalf. Your support and involvement is critical in protecting and maintaining the doctoral standard for the independent practice of psychology, and the maintaining of your license to practice it. TPA is the only organization fighting for legislative and regulatory processes that will allow you to continue to provide the highest-quality of mental health care.
Moreover, through TPA you have the opportunity to contribute to the development of your profession in many different ways—while we strive to offer the services and assistance you need to successfully grow and participate in your profession.

2019 Legislative Session is Right Around the Corner

Now that you have done your civic duty and voted, it's time to help legislators better understand mental health and psychology. We can never explain too many times what a psychologist is, what a psychologist does, who a psychologist helps, and remind the of our value to the citizens of Texas.

Join TPA at one of our Legislative Days: February 5, February 28, March (TBD), April 12. Complete details and RSVP forms will be available early in 2019.

2019 Annual Convention

Join us on the San Antonio Riverwalk for one the finest state psychological association annual conventions held each year.

Don't be afraid, Halloween will be a blast on the river. Don't miss the boat!

You will leave the convention with fresh ideas. With proper planning, it is possible to earn all of the endorsed professional development hours required to renew your TSBEP license.

The Call for Proposals will be available in early March.

Letters from Global Tech Regarding Billing Practices

Global Tech is contracted by CMS to gather information about Medicare billing practices. At this point they are gathering aggregate data to assist CMS with policy making but APA wants to get a better sense of the extent of their efforts. If you have received one of these letters, please contact Brian Stagner, TPA Director of Professional Affairs:
