The Texas Psychological Foundation

The Texas Psychological Foundation (TPF) is a non-profit organization that operates as the foundation entity of the Texas Psychological Association. Established exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes, TPF plays a critical role in supporting the psychology community in Texas. TPF provides financial assistance to students, psychologists, and researchers who are engaged in projects that promote the field of psychology and stimulate public interest and knowledge.
By fostering educational opportunities, supporting research, and providing scholarships and awards, TPF is committed to advancing the field of psychology in Texas, while also enhancing the career development of the state's psychology trainees.

TPF Priorities
TPF focuses its resources on the following key priorities:
- Recognizing Excellence in Research: TPF grants awards, scholarships, and fellowships to recognize and support excellence in psychological research.
- Promoting Basic and Applied Research: TPF funds and promotes both basic and applied research, with an emphasis on encouraging the publication of significant findings in psychology.

- Advancing the Careers of Trainees in Texas

- TPF aims to provide funding that enables students and faculty to engage in research they might not otherwise have the resources for. This helps push the boundaries of psychological knowledge.
Aligning TPF and TPA Missions
TPF ensures that its activities are closely aligned with the mission of the Texas Psychological Association (TPA). TPF is dedicated to maintaining a strong foundation, supported by clear governing documents, staff resources, and the necessary funds to administer its programs effectively.
